Outset Island // Pogo

This is my own orchestration of the Outset Island theme from Wind Waker. I spent around 4 hours in Ableton Live drawing the notes and fine tweaking the articulations.
The recording is made using a moving custom dummy head fitted with silicon ears and binaural microphones, while the instruments are routed through 4 studio monitors that are positioned around the room. I wanted to emulate the experience of having a small orchestra play around me. I don’t feel I’m quite there yet, but I’m satisfied with the results so far.
